Detailed Itinerary for a 2-Day Serengeti Safari Starting from Zanzibar

Day 1: Fly from Zanzibart to Serengeti National Park.

You will depart your hotel in Zanzibar at 5:00 AM for a transfer to the airport. After completing the check-in procedures, you will board a flight to Seronera Airstrip in Serengeti National Park. The park is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife, including the Big Five, antelopes, various bird species, and unique big cats. The flight takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours. Upon arrival at the airstrip, a team of tour guides will greet you with a comfortable 4WD safari vehicle and all necessary provisions, including a packed lunch. They will introduce you to the safari and take you on the first activity of the day—a guided and informative game drive. After the drive, you will proceed to your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive and flight back to Zanzibar

After enjoying breakfast, follow the well-maintained game tracks through the vast savannah plains of Serengeti National Park, stopping occasionally at wildlife-rich areas. Continue the guided game drive, spotting more wildlife species that may have been missed earlier, as you head toward the Seronera airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar Airport. Upon arrival, proceed to your booked hotel or begin your journey back home. This concludes your 2-day Serengeti National Park safari from Zanzibar.
