4 Day Tanzania flying safari tours
Our 4-day Tanzania serengeti flying Safari from Zanzibar package is the ideal choice if you have the time for a 4-day tour starting from Zanzibar Island.
This package covers two of Tanzania's most renowned wildlife destinations: the Serengeti National Park, famous for the wildebeest migration and big cat sightings, and the Ngorongoro Crater, known for its high concentration of wildlife in a compact area of approximately 21 kilometers in diameter where you can encounter all members of the Big 5.
The distance between Zanzibar and the Serengeti National Park is considerable, so the only practical way to undertake this tour is by air. We, however, take care of arranging the flight for you to ensure a hassle-free experience. The safari concludes in Arusha, with a return flight to Zanzibar. If, however, you prefer to conclude the tour in Arusha, especially if you have plans to depart from Kilimanjaro International Airport, we can adjust the itinerary by deducting the flight cost and arranging for your drop-off at Arusha Kilimanjaro Airport. Feel free to inquire with our knowledgeable safari experts for this modification.

Day 01 - Fly from Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park
On this morning, you can either arrange your own transport or let us arrange it for you to reach Zanzibar Airport. From there, catch a morning flight at 07:45 AM heading to Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania. Your arrival in Serengeti, around 10:45 AM, will be met by our safari guide at the airstrip. Your first game drive starts immediately as you depart from the Seronera Airstrip, located in Central Serengeti. The Seronera River valley is a well-known region teeming with wildlife and birdlife in the heart of Serengeti. Expect to encounter various animals like lions, leopards, zebras, buffaloes, topis, gazelles, and potentially large herds of wildebeests (consult your guide for the best locations to spot them). You'll have a picnic lunch, and the afternoon will be dedicated to more game drives on the Serengeti plains until dusk, when you'll check in at your camp or lodge for relaxation, a campfire dinner, and an overnight stay. You'll be staying overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Camp or a similar camp. Lunch and dinner are included.

Day 02 - A Full Day in Serengeti National Park
You have the option of embarking on early morning game drives at dawn if you're an early riser. Consult with our guide the evening before to arrange this. Sunrise game drives offer an excellent opportunity to spot rare nocturnal animals that are more active during the night and early morning risers among diurnal species. It's a great time to see animals up close as many of them tend to gather near the roads to avoid the morning dew. After breakfast at your camp or lodge, you'll spend the entire day exploring Serengeti National Park. Alternatively, you can opt for morning and sunset game drives, with a midday break for lunch and relaxation at your lodge or camp. Serengeti, which derives its name from the Maasai word 'Siringit' meaning 'plains without end,' lives up to its name as you traverse vast stretches of African savannah, witnessing a multitude of animals and birds that the Serengeti has to offer. Beyond the 1.5 million wildebeests that call Serengeti home, you can expect to spot other remarkable wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, elusive leopards, zebras, elands, topis, warthogs, impalas, and many more. You'll spend your second night at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Camp or a similar camp. All meals are included.

Day 03 - Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Start your day with an early morning breakfast at your camp or lodge in Serengeti. Afterward, check out and depart from Serengeti National Park through the Naabi Hill Gate, heading toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. By mid-morning, you'll arrive at the Crater's View Point, where you'll register and descend to the Crater floor for a day of guided game drives with one of Tanzania's best professional safari guides. Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the '8th wonder of the world,' is a must-visit wildlife destination in Africa. It boasts the highest concentration of wild animals in a natural habitat worldwide. Ngorongoro has been designated a 'UNESCO World Heritage' site and a biosphere reserve, and it never fails to astonish visitors. On a lucky day, you may even spot all of the Big 5 animals within the crater in a single day. After satisfying game drives in Ngorongoro, you'll ascend the Crater rim in the afternoon and drive to a comfortable lodge in the Karatu area, just outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, for dinner and an overnight stay. You'll be staying overnight at Pamoja Olea Farm Lodge or similar accommodation. All meals are included.

Day 04- Ngorongoro Crater
On this day, you'll rise early for breakfast (or you can choose to depart from the lodge with a packed breakfast). Descend into the Great Rift Valley floor and register at the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park. The name 'Manyara' is derived from the Maasai word that means the euphorbia tirucalli tree species, which the nomadic Maasai tribe famously use to construct hedges to protect their homesteads and cattle. The park is characterized by numerous such trees, but it's the legendary tree-climbing lions, often seen taking afternoon naps on acacia tree branches, that make this park unique. Other common animals in the park include Thompson's gazelles, zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, and impalas. Near the park's entrance is an underground water forest, providing a perfect habitat for baboons, blue monkeys, bushbucks, and large elephant herds that take shelter from the afternoon sun and feast on green branches, twigs, and herbs. You'll do game drives until midday, and after satisfying game viewing, your guide will drive you to Arusha town. There, you'll be dropped off at Arusha Airport (1 hour before your flight departure) for your 15:45 PM flight. Lunch and dinner are included.
