Day 1 - Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Start your day with a hearty continental breakfast at 7:00 am. Following breakfast, your safari adventure kicks off with a flight. Your guide will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Serengeti. The flight typically takes about an hour, depending on any stops made at different airstrips along the way. Upon landing at Seronera Airstrip, your safari guide will welcome you and provide a briefing.
The Serengeti, home to the largest animal migration on Earth, boasts a high population of predators. Before heading to your lodge, you'll enjoy a short game drive, where you can soak in the wilderness ambiance, accompanied by the melodious songs of birds. Keep your eyes peeled for the African "Big Five" – Rhinos, Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, and Leopards – as well as other incredible wildlife like hippos, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, baboons, hyenas, crocodiles, oribi, and many more. Bird enthusiasts will also have a field day spotting various species, including Black-headed gonolek, Grey-backed fiscal, Grey-crested helmet-shrike, red-capped robin-chat, Rufous-tailed Weaver, Ostriches, Kori bustard, Secretary bird, Silverbird, Usambiro Barbet, Verreaux’s eagle, lovebirds, starlings, and more. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at our lodge.
Day 2 - Full Day Serengeti National Park
Wake up to a delicious breakfast and a breathtaking sunrise. Today, you'll continue exploring the Serengeti on game drive tracks, providing ample opportunities to observe a wide array of wildlife.
In the evening, return to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Day 3 - Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast at your lodge or camp, we embark on a journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, we have the option to make a stop at Olduvai Gorge, a site steeped in history dating back to the earliest days of humanity. It was here that the renowned anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of 'Nutcracker Man' and 'Handy Man,' crucial links in the human evolution chain.
Upon reaching the entrance to the Ngorongoro Crater, we'll enjoy lunch, which is timely given the leisurely pace of our drive with game viewing opportunities en-route. We'll descend over 600 meters into the bottom of the crater for an afternoon of wildlife viewing. Our visit will include Lake Magadi, a large shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner of the crater, where you can observe flamingos, hippos, and other water birds.
After an eventful game drive, we'll ascend from the crater and drive to our lodge for a refreshing evening, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire National Park
Today, we set our sights on Tarangire National Park after enjoying breakfast at the lodge. The drive takes us through stunning coffee plantations, where you'll be warmly welcomed by the towering Baobab trees and the local Maasai people. In Tarangire, we'll embark on an exciting game drive, where you can expect to encounter a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and particularly large herds of elephants. Predators like lions, hyenas, leopards, and more also call this park home. We'll return to the park headquarters for lunch.
In the evening, we'll embark on another game drive along the Tarangire River, offering opportunities to spot more iconic wildlife. After an eventful day, we'll head back to our lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 5 - Lake Manyara to Arusha
Our final day includes a visit to Lake Manyara National Park, where you'll have the chance to observe wildlife and even consider a cultural visit to the nearby village of Mto Wa Mbu. Nestled in the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park is characterized by lush green forests nourished by underground water streams from the Ngorongoro highlands. The park's highlights include its famous tree-climbing lions, pink flamingos, hot springs, elephants, wildebeest, impala, zebras, hippos, and a variety of bird species.
In the afternoon, we'll return to Arusha, concluding our journey with a scenic drive of approximately two hours.
